@Terrement I totally agree with you but it was great way to learn how to manipulate bit map graphics and vector graphics which was a work requirement at the time. I did scratch build the building in the initial photographs. Nowadays I'd probably go the complete (fully visible) scratch built route but I would also use MDF buildings as a partial starting point too. |

Cool idea, not sure if I could get over the esthetics of not having a full model though. |

The creativity of people is a constant surprise. I could see (pun intended) using these buildings as replacements in a skirmish game. ie the figure, if spotted hiding behind a building has it replaced with an "invisible" one. |

Just a small suggestions, I would go with the more alliterative (and more accurate) "Transparent Town" Very good ideal! How does a laser pointer work through the walls? |
JimDuncanUK | 25 Jul 2014 3:12 p.m. PST |
@DyeHard 'Invisible Town Found' was a better draw as a headline. The transparency solved one problem but created more. As far as a laser pointer goes I do not know. When this town was in play laser pointers were not in common use. Contemporary lecturers used long canes to point. I'll hunt out my laser pointer and experiment. |

Neat idea. Not my style for a western, but there are some good sci-fi possibilities there. |

His next product is going to be a line of clothing just for wargamers. And I've already got a name for it. "The Emperor's Newd Clothes." |

I am surprised there is not yet an app that keeps track of your figures using GPS and a table top map. |

Cool! Little Orly found a pair of goofy looking goggles while digging a hole to bury his silver dollar in old man Mescal's garbage dump. The kid's life has never been the same! |

:-) Please, don't expand to clothing…have mercy… We actually ran into exactly the same problem in the olden days of 2D video games, where we had to be able to turn building textures on/off in order to be able to see friendly units. Nice, creative approach! |

@Last Hussar Not in any of the games we played with them. They don't appear to be on the weapons sheet. Mind you, it could be a town in Boulder County :) |

deephorse | 28 Jul 2014 2:32 p.m. PST |
I don't get the point of it. Isn't the whole idea of a figure backing away around a corner that you can no longer see it? |
JimDuncanUK | 28 Jul 2014 3:48 p.m. PST |
@deephorse The whole idea is to be able to keep track of your figure although it may be in cover some of the time. |
