Hi,
I am going to stay a week in Burgundy (near Autun) this summer and wondered if there are some special (military) historic sites, that worth a visit. I would appreciate your help.

Cheers and Thanks

1870 battle of Nuits saint Georges between Beaune and Dijon. landscaped pretty much unchanged.

If you like old jet planes there is a guy in Savigny near Beaune with 100s of 1950-2000 French+ others including soviets jets and a few choppers in his château. free

Bit further north from Autun is the site of Alesia at veneray-les-Laume, about 15k from montbard, still has impresive Roman ruins (later).
Try climbing the hill and you understand why the Romans didn't bother….
Once went to a winery in Sancerre which had a Gribevau 4lber with what appeared to be original paintwork!
