Try to avoid visiting the TMP Talk boards. I offer that as good advice from someone who seems to manage to miss 99% of the cat fights, inter-site warfare and trolling. Best thing I ever did was turn off TMP Talk so I never see the feed on the frontpage. |

My own rule. I only visited to see what the brew ha ha was this time. I am sorry I did. To use Frothers as a reliable source of information is like using a 24 hour news network as fact. I think I am going back to the surface again and talk about gaming. |

I'm just here to learn more about my hobby and not this other rubbish that's going on. I don't care about drive by posts or which editor said or did what… It's all nonsense and I'm fed up with it. One minute I can post, the next I can't… |

Agreed, Wargaming is a hobby, pass time and meant for fun. We push little men around a table for Pete sake! Do we really need all this drama? |
Bandolier | 24 Jul 2014 4:28 p.m. PST |
People drift in and out of TMP all the time without the need to announce anything. I hope I am part of silent majority that don't give a far-q about the contrived 'drama'. |

I wanted to stay clear of this topic but since certain members have chosen to leave on grounds (as a stance towards an individual) that seem to indicate reasons of moral principles…well…that gives a greater degree of credibility to the stories circulating on this site. I believe that not enough decisions are made in this world for this reason but I don't see how in this instance how leaving can be seen in this particular light. I believe most people who frequent here would like to treated with equality and decency and if wildly accused of some wrong doing would rightfully expect the rest of the community to presume their innocence until proven guilty. I don't think the editor is receiving these basic courtesies. I read the accusations and IMO they're completely unsubstantiated that amount to nothing more than rumours or gossip. Their source while I'm personally unfamiliar with come from a highly untrustworthy rival site. Hardly a case that would seem worthy of such a harsh response? My membership is a gesture of support to the site that provides me with a valuable connection to a community that share my interest in a common hobby. If those who run it are involved in anything illegal it's not up to me to figure that out and to admonish punishment. We have a system (however imperfect) to do that. As long as this site remains as a source of info and fellowship in this hobby and as long as I value that I'll frequent it and hopefully be able to support it. if there was something illegal or corrupt going on with the owner of this site and an individual has information and supporting evidence then there would be the proper channels for that. Posting a public message here reeks of attention seeking, malicious slander making and prejudiced begrudgery none of which is none of which earns my respect or requires a admonishing reaction |

Makes me wonder if its even worth becoming a supporting member. If you can get past the trolling troglodytes, yes, I'd say it is worth it. A great resource for information, a great resource for used and second-hand minis and rule sets, a great resource for selling off minis and rule sets, and the Lounge is a nice community. |

Bill… This site *IS* a MAJOR resource for the Miniatures/War-Gaming "community"… CARRY ON AS BEFORE!!! "frothers" are… |

Makes me wonder if its even worth becoming a supporting member. Not at present, as this crap continues there. Between Frother's treatment of Bill/Claire etc and Bill's treatment of AB, I can see why LAF is doing so well. |

For a change some of these apparently upset people could come here and talk about military history and wargaming …. just sayin!? |
AcrylicNick | 25 Jul 2014 6:11 a.m. PST |
Between Frother's treatment of Bill/Claire etc and Bill's treatment of AB, I can see why LAF is doing so well. More to the point, LAF is doing well because, among other things, A) it is moderated. B) discussion is limited to miniatures and wargaming. |

The Lead Adventure Forum lead-adventure.de Its a great place to while away an evening talking about minis – no explosions or hissy fits spotted in the 2 years or so I've been visiting it. |

Damned tasty but too gooey for gaming purposes. Two nil to the caramel wafer |

I enjoy LAF as well. It has a different vibe to TMP and of course, Frothers and other gaming forums. Each has it's place I believe. I am not tribal enough to prefer one over the other. Frothers is OK if you ignore the froth pot forum, kind of like TMP is OK if you ignore this forum I am typing in now:) |
