Hi Everyone I've just posted the 6th AAR in my LONGSTREET Campaign on my BLOG: link Stan and I fought this engagement over 3 weeks ago but due to some technical issues, (my laptop died) I've only now managed to upload the AAR. We're now into the last battle of the year 1863. The LONGSTREET campaign system sees 1 battle in 1863, 2 in '62, 3 in '63, 2 in '64 and one final battle in 1865. The card decks favours the Rebs in 1861 and 1862. By 1863 the decks are evening out and the Yanks get the advantage from '64 onwards. Obviously as the commander of the Federals I was keen to be moving into 1864. So now we find ourselves facing the Confederates across a icy stream called 'Bloody Run' due to the rich red mud and soil of its banks. It would soon be known as 'Bloody' Run for another reason,… [URL=http://s293.photobucket.com/user/trailape/media/Longstreet/Longstreet%20AARs/a_zps66bef318.jpg.html]

as a Torontonian i'm glad to see there was no Rob's Ford across your river ! seriously … great AAR , good to see the Yanks give the Rebs a beating (hasn't happened yet in my campaign , we just finished '62) |

Nice. I adore the Longstreet campaign system… No matter how badly a game goes, your force is never really behind the eight ball in the next game, although it can be a very different force!:) |

I'm waiting for a little more financial maneuvering room before diving into "Longstreet," but your AARs are tempting me to move up the timeframe. Again, I love your font. Great presentation. |

Trailape: You mentioned at one time where you got the 'graphic book' software to make the great presentation. What was it? |

Actually getting round to starting our first campaign next week. We are limiting it to just 1862 to see how things go but looking forward to it! There's only three of us playing so we are commanding a Union and a Confederate force each, giving six games – not playing ourselves of course – then if its going well we will add another block of games afterwards. |

Hi McLaddie I use 'Comic Life' for IPad. Trajanus My only advice is do the Post Battle phase strictly BY THE BOOK to avoid missing anything. Some have suggested that the rules / Cards make the Rebs unbeatable. That's not been our experience. The results have been: 1861 – Union Victory 1862 – Union 1 Victory / Confederates 1 Victory' 1863 – Union 2 Victories / Confederates 1 Victory |

@ McLaddie I take photos using my IPad, open the Comic Life App and then import the photos. I ensure the 'Font' is '15'. I share each completed page to my Photo Library saving each page in "Hi Res'. I them email the save 'pages' to my PC and open using PAINTSHOP and convert to PNG format and then upload to my BLOG and / or Photobucket. TA-DA!!! Done. |

Utah? There was no such place in the 1860s. There was what the Mormons called Desseret, but even that was not an official US territory. |

Thanks Donlowery Yes, I know there was no official 'Utah' in 1863. I know the Territory wasn't a state until the late 1800 (1898 is ringing bells). But it's a fictitious unit based on the Navoo Legion and those Mormons that fought for the US in the American -Mexican war some years earlier. If it gets under your skin too much just delete Utah and insert Michigan. |

Trailape: Thanks for the details! I'm sure to use it in the future. |
