I have been looking for some 15mm (or 18mm) figures that represent the tribal warriors which are described in Ian Heath's various Foundry books, e.g. Akha, Hmong, and others. Does anybody manufacture them? Conversions may be an option, although some of the likely candidates are produced in monopose packs, which would not look very irregular. Thanks! |

I'm not up on the different African tribal looks, but Blue Moon 15mm/18mm has a nice line of African figures. |

Sorry about that… I don't know how I drifted off into Africa. On the other hand, I think the Blue Moon recommendation isn't a bad one in that while the African line of figures isn't what you are looking for, the Blue Moon figures offer a great many different miniature ranges and something might work with a little modification. Again, sorry for the odd detour to Africa. |

Irregular are going in that direction, worth a look |

Yeah Irregular are well worth a look. I'm liking their Colonial stuff a lot. |

Malays would be a good starting point for some of these types, and they can sometimes be found in ancient/renaissance ranges, e.g. Grumpy's Miniatures, and colonial era Moros should be considered too(if you can find them). |

Thanks, all! @War in 15mm: Sorry, TMP's limit on title lengths meant that I could not have written as detailed a title as I would have liked, although perhaps I might have worded this one differently. |

Try any good tourist site dealing with northern Thailand; many of their villages are still operating and producing their traditional clothes, if mainly for sale to tourists these days. The stuff turns up on ebay all the time too. Common features are short trousers, waistcoats, and a lot of indigo with extremely varied and often very attractive embroidery, applique, and batique work. Sadly, women's clothing is usually the more ornate. |

Falcon has some Malaysian types which might work for some. |

Hmm, I checked the Falcon website, but there were some warnings about "certificate errors"… |
