"At Eurosatory 2014, Renault Trucks Defense unveiled the BMX01. This 6x6 multirole armoured vehicle is a new mobility and protection demonstrator for the French Army's future VBMR (multipurpose armoured vehicle).

Financing shared between the French defence procurement agency (DGA) and RTD on the basis of a contract signed in June 2010.

The vehicle has clocked up several thousand kilometres over all types of terrain in France (roads, sludge in Fontevraud, sand in Biscarosse) and a gunshot test hull has successfully completed ballistic resistance tests. My thought exactly.

I actually think it's a case of the nanny state going too far. Before you just had 2 wheels and if you weren't totally stupid, a helmet.

But then given amount of knee scrapes from stupid stunts on BMXs, they've now designed a 6 wheeled, armoured version of it. And so kids don't tear ligaments from pedalling and cause they're too fat, it now comes with combustion engine.

Oh and it's got a 0.50 cal in case the big kids try to steal your lunch money.

Lame!
