I think I've heard of this before, but some recently examined footprints seem to suggests Tyrannosaurs travelled in packs.

There's a picture of a human foot by one of the prints – the dinosaur print seems small compared to my nightmarish vision of Tyrannosaurus Rex and a recent trip to the ROM. Hmmm

Anyway for your enjoyment,

Your memory isn't faulty. Carnosaurs don't walk flat footed. They walk on their toes, so normally only the front part of the foot would leave a track. There's a lot more foot your not seeing and a whole lot meat eater attached to it.

Makes me think of that Far Side cartoon about the real end of the dinosaurs….all standing around in a group smoking…
