My two cents, for what it's worth.

Those guys "on the other site" amount to 5 +/- 2 guys actively outraging themselves about TMP. It is in a corner of that site that you have to go and look for. It took me a while.

Even if half of what they accuse "you" of is true (and that is REALLY giving them the benefit of the doubt…), to me it looks like "consenting adults" stuff. None of my business, and not worth commenting on.

The really and totally outrageous comments, like "The Blue Fez is a sex club!" were shouted down by an ex-Fezzite who told the perp that he doesn't know what he is talking about. You don't HAVE to respond or bring it up. Ignore it.

So, my advice is to stop going over there and trying to be "reasonable". They will not listen anyway. You do not need to keep setting yourself up.
Stop answering by starting topics on TMP.
Stop the draconian carpet bombing fly swatting. My God, Winston could not post this morning! The horror! Swat the individual flies.

In other words, pretend they do not exist.

The topics I started here were intended to help the Frothers see how ridiculous they sound, but obvious that isn't working. So, yes, I agree, no need to comment further.

A Frother is objecting to someone making a scandalous claim? Where were you when they compared me to a child molester?

To be fair, an anonymous user (guest) made that claim. That could be absolutely anyone at all – a Frother, a TMP member, Bill, me, my mum, anyone at all.

The anonymous user was then berated by all present it seems. And to be honest, they didn't have to defend you, they could've just ignored it. Or worse, joined in!

Well, I've already expressed my concern over the nature of some of the posts on your blog, specifically the ones that deal with . Your intentions may not have been prurient in nature but to the uninitiated the impression could be misinterpreted. Others on Frothers obviously have gone too far with their comparisons but Ravencraft's statement has no founding in reality. I apologise if I've not been fair across both platforms. I feel that I've been complimentary about TMP from the standpoint of an advertiser but you need to think about how people that aren't involved in will react when they come across your blog and see . 2+2 can come out as any figure when added up by an outsider.

Misinterpretation is the name of the game for some people. No reason I should pay undue attention to them.

See, I don't get why you allow two different standards, one for Frothers, one for everything else. You're offended when Ravenscraft says something here, that's no different in kind than what is said frequently on Frothers, yet you don't raise even a finger in protest there.

Perhaps it is humor at the deserved shame and misfortune that comes to bad people (like laughing at copper thieves who electrocute themselves or suicide bombers who suffer from premature detonation), laughing at the molester for dressing like a frighteningly ugly "woman"? That's why threads about mugshots are popular on online forums, because unreformed criminals deserve scorn. Laughing at a bad person for looking like an idiot in a mugshot does not automatically mean people throw away any empathy for victims.

And once the other prisoners figure out the guy dressed like a woman during his crime, they might make that a permanent feature for the molester…

I have never posted to Frothers, not even as a guest.

But I have read the entirety of the thread in question, and I think it's way beyond time for full disclosure from other people around here, especially in regards to a certain website and the mystical "persona" that runs it.

The child abuse thread that Andrew has linked to is both disturbing and offensive. Such things aren't humorous or, in the context of what is a wargaming news website, even 'weirdly' interesting.

My guess is that when I called the Frother crowd a bunch of "waterheaded ninnies", he thought my post was directed to just him. Hence the issue of grammar, which is an intentional distraction on his part.

No rebelyell2006 it wasn't a distraction attempt but a genuine question. I am from Essex UK, a county often mocked for its diction, and I couldn't see my error.

After I asked him about his double standards, Andrew seems to have had some kind of meltdown. We had earlier talked about what sort of material could be posted in this discussion without intruding on the privacy of my workers, and he had agreed to those limits. But then, in some kind of hissy fit, he broke those rules… so his account has been locked, his advertising shut down, and he can go back to Frothers and whine to his friends there.
