You can get quite a bit out of the novel by Kenneth Roberts, "Oliver Wiswell".

It's a magnificent novel, very much in the style of 1940 historical novels, with "a cast of thousands".
It is a novel of the American Revolution, from the POV of a Loyalist.
The latter parts of the novel take place in the South, with DeLancey's, Skinners, etc. The Siege of 96 plays a crucial part. |
