Not quite as slow as sending international reply coupons to England and waiting for your package to arrive. It is funny how things are relative. Back in the day you sent your stuff off and figured something would show up in a couple of months. Now, you start to get worried if your figs don't arrive in three days. It's been three days! Maybe tomorrow, Saturday at the latest. Back then, it was a surprise when your order showed up. Now, you get excited about checking your mailbox after a couple of days. |

Yes, you're right! How times have changed! I remember when even in the continental U.S. all companies had the disclaimer, "please allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery", and so you learned patience. Changed expectations have eroded all that and now one reverts to childhood, "Is it here yet? Is it here yet?" |

The period between something you want is announced and its being available is often interminable. |
