Hello, I really like the Crusader Miniatures figures and have a Norman army on the way but I'd really like a Breton or Cornish (West Welsh) army too. Could I use the Crusader Miniatures Scots and/or Irish for either of these, with a minimal degree of conversion (if any?) Cheers Jim |

I really like the Crusader line of Dark Ages as well. I think using Scots for Welsh is fine, especially on the light foot troops. From their Irish line, the mounted warriors and foot javelin would make good SAGA Welsh, but not so much the noble warriors – very Irish specific visually and the weapons don't match up to Saga lists. For Bretons, I would use Normans and maybe some of Crusader's Spanish unarmored cavalry. |

Bretons in Saga are much closer to Normans figure wise. They are an interesting faction to play, as they can ride up throw javelins, then evade away. The only time I didn't get a major win with them is when we played 6 player and I was hemmed in. I think them I still caused enough casualties to do fairly well. |

Thanks chaps, I already have some spare Norman unarmoured cavalry figures so the Bretons are a definite runner. Good idea to use the Spanish too, although I'll need a head swap or two. I think I'll leave the welsh for the moment but there's plenty of scope there too. Cheers Jim |
