Remember this would only be from firing Shell or Spherical Case (Shrapnell) as ground burst. Solid shot is just whispering death.

Was often tempted to model it though. Perhaps hitting human or horseflesh might be just a bit sick (just a disintegrating series of red bits sprayed out from what remains, in the direction of the shot's passage) but I had thought a roundshot hitting mud might be good! A near miss…….

Sometime ago I saw a wonderful portrayal in this forum of an infantryman with a round shot stopped at his feet………and a long divot leading to it to mark its passage. I've tried that a few time since in my bases.
