Howdy,

Much fun at Historicon 2014 – intensive miniature gaming Thursday thru Saturday. A quick summary of my activities.

Thurs morn – played Saxons vs. Vikings in 25mm, Bob Bryant's Clans & Companies

Thurs evening – played ACW, Battle of New Market in 25mm , Men Under Fire, Tom Harris ran the game.

Fri afternoon – played 15mm Vietnam, CDToB, John Drye ran the game.

Fri evening – Ran my game, Gumbinnen 1914, 15mm Russians vs. Germans in East Prussia, CDToB – an AAR will follow later in the week.

Sat afternoon – played Ukraine 2015, Modern micro armor, CDToB, Jake Strangeway ran the game.

Sat evening – played Invasion of Malta scenario, Operation Hercules, WW2 20mm, CDToB, Daniel Erdman ran the game (must have been promoting the movie).

Did not buy much impulse shopping, but did buy John Hill's new ACW rules and a couple of 15mm buildings. In addition picked up the painted Mecha figures from Scott Perry of Pictors.

The convention seemed well-organied and smoothy run. The facilities are excellent, my wife really liked the shuttle service provided (to downtown and back) – although she said it apparently had very few riders. There were only two issues noted for the facility: (1) the lack of drinking water, and (2) the bathrooms became disgusting 'cause the automatic flushers were not flushing. No maintenance for the water dispensers provided (not refilled), and ditto no maintenance for the bathrooms.

I had a blast, wore myself out gaming, too much fun!!!

Ponder on,

JAS

Thanks.
