Yesterday was brilliant. As well as excellent games, a good selection of traders and the opportunity to catch up with many old friends we also had: * a thunderstorm as loud and dramatic as the Blitz * flickering lights as the power went off and on several times * a torrential downpour with the dining hall beginning to flood and a few punters (me included) getting drenched trying to shut the doors and stem the flow, and * the lightning setting off the fire alarm which then rang for ages! None of which dampened (ha!) anyone's enthusiasm and led to the show yesterday being one that we will remember for a very long time. Looking forward to 2015! |

I wonder if you were the hero that closed the door next to my stand!? A very good Attack which I appreciate as a trader and feel good about as a member of the organising club. Doug |

The storm was indeed rather dramatic, and also appropriate to our Viking game, like an omen from Thor himself! Great show overall, although I didn't get around many trade stands in the end. |

Agreed, a good show. Good to see some old faces (sorry Doug ;-) and make some new friends (hiya Annie) It has spurred me into trying to get into an other few shows later this year. Who knows, I may even still be in time to do so :-) Gary |

Doug, That was me in the Blue mac who had to put his hood up while your lady held my pint. Entertaining show! |

Indeed it was an excellent event, the War & Conquest competition was well received, and we had a great weekend. The fire alarm was indeed off putting for some, but multi Black Sabbath and Motorhead concerts over the years meant it really only was a minor distraction for me :) Kind regards

Couldn't make it this year, for the first time in last 10 years or so. Glad it was a good show. |
