Looking to purchase more of these and reviewing options. I am aware of the following manufacturers: Monday Knight Productions JR Miniatures Early War Miniatures Scenics Battlefield Terrain Concepts (not sure if these are still available as they are no longer listed on their website) Any others you can suggest? Any comments on the ones listed would be welcome. Thanks. |

There is a thread somewhere on here of someone who made their own from brown caulk in a tube. I only mention this as you ask for options. It seemed a pretty straight forward process, perhaps there is someone here who had a go that could comment. |

It is indeed very easy to make your own with paintable latex caulk. There is even a beige color. It's very easy to paint with craft acrylics too. I use old bed sheets as backing material. Best of all, you can make custom intersections and control the width and length. |

Search TMP for the topic roads. There are a bunch of links like this… TMP link I use the cheapest brown acrylic caulk I can find on thin felt, sprinkled with sand. You can flock the edges, but use a thin line of caulk not PVA. The caulk remains flexible while the glue tends to harden over time. |

I like the tutorials that everyone has linked to. Thanks. I will be trying this as I have been looking for roads for a long time. My budget will not allow me to buy all the roads I need, but it will buy me the material I need. I am hoping it will lead to me increasing my comfort level so that I can eventually make a terrain cloth like one of these. link |
