has anybody done a hit location chart for robotech macross mecha? I never liked the all damage hits main body thing, but am not bright enough to figure out what is likely to be a reasonable distribution of hits.

Anybody have a chart or know where one is?

BattleTech has a nice one.

Well, you could rob the hit-location chart from the Robotech RPG or Mobile Suit in Action rules. Battletech is another option, maybe Heavy Gear v1 (I forget if there were limb or system hit locations in HG1).

Just be aware that adding and tracking hit locations will slow the game down significantly, or put a number-of-models-per-player cap on, just like Battletech.

I want a fast and furious game with lots of Valks and Destroids shooting up a bajillion battlepods, so no hit location charts for this Valk pilot!

I want it for the RPG. Shadow chronicals says it has an optional hoit chart, only it isnt actualy in the book. I will check out battletech, had not thought of them.

I want fast as well, just I want the drama of a PC with half his mech chewed up. I could care less about the bad giuys

Thanks for the thoughts

Hit locations for the heroes, generic hits for the bad guys is a pretty good way to run things.

Palladium did one for the first edition of Robotech. It's in this book:
