All Looking to start my WWI project and it looks like Minifigs UK has the most complete line of all theaters and early/late war. Any US customers can tell me their experiences with them? What about quality? I've not had any Minifigs since Tom Dye went out of business. Any suggestions/ issues welcome. Thanks |

They are good at shipping and packing. I think if you buy a large enough order the shipping is more favorable. They also have a page where if you order "many" of the same code number they discount it, you will need to look. I have always liked Minifigs as they paint up fast and are easy on your brushes. |

I just finished assembling some 30+ 10 mm Cold War vehicles from Mini Figs/Cavalier. I ordered the figures July 7. Dave's crew had to cast them, so they didn't ship until the 10th. Arrived on the 17th. Great communication and fast service. Already working on the next order (translation: trying to gilt the wife into letting me spend some more money since I didn't get to go to Hcon). Dragonhead Distributors in Allentown, PA, has some stock, but they are very slow. My order for in stock items took 10 weeks. Their brick and mortar store may not even be in business anymore. The phone is disconnected. They still have some WW1 items listed on eBay. BTW, Tom Dye should be back in the States by early fall. He and a partner are working on restarting GFI by the end of the year. |

I have ordered numerous times, never took more than ten days to get my stuff. Well packaged. The figures are very clean, very little flash. What scale are you using, Pendraken's WW1 stuff is superb, but it is 10mm, also a pleasure to deal with. |

The BM store is still in business. They lost their lease and had to move suddenly. Damon. |

I was going to use Fistful of Tows with some artillery modifications. FOW I like but the scale seems "off" for WWI. Rommel focused on companies as the unit of maneuver (yes I understand he was a BC so that follows) and even Junger seems to look at things through the lens of company maneuvers. FFT seems to work well at that level.. Looks like it will be Minifigs. |

It has been a couple years since I did this, but I have ordered from Miniature Figurines UK in the past (I live in the U.S.) There were never any problems. If I remember correctly, the stuff I ordered showed up within two weeks. |

The castings I've had from them have all been very clean and the turn-around time has been exceptional. |

The Minifigs in the UK are 15mm. I have a lot of their stuff for early war that I bought many years ago, before Peter Pig were on the scene. The figures are ok but have limited poses. More recently I have purchased PP, which are slightly smaller but have a wider variety. Both work well together. There are still some figures that you can only get through Minifigs, such as the Hotchkiss automatic rifle gunner for example. Robert |
