Has anyone used any of the model building software from Evans Designs to make your own buildings and signage?

modeltrainsoftware.com

I'm wondering how easy it is to use and whether you felt you got your money's worth?

Or do you recommend a different software package?

Many thanks in advance,

Jim

I was wondering if that was the same as this one (and therefore the same thing)

I bought it and the brickyard set about 3 years ago. One of the best values I ever got! I must have designed and printed about 100 buildings by now. I even have made coverings where I use Lego blocks inside, for my 5mm figs. You can design a building in any scale you type in. Need one in 1/135th scale? Yup, It will do it! Once you have played around with it, it's pretty intuitive to use.

I highly endorse this product from a view of a satisfied user/customer!

I agree with Tom: it is worth the money. Truth be told, I haven't used it much, but I recently printed some stone walls with windows and doors, roofing, and attched them to one of those 99 cent wooden "birdhouses" you see in AC Moore or Michael's. Looks fine and it's rugged.

Thanks to all for your quick responses.

It doesn't appear that the Micromark software is exactly the same since it doesn't carry (or appear to carry) the Evans Design logo. Plus the Evans Design has many other software packages in its repetoire.

I've had this software for about seven years and it's proven to be a great value to me. I mainly do 28mm awi which is difficult to find suitable buildings to reflect the era. I'm not that great at scratch building either.

This software allows you to import your own pictures. So, when I took a trip to Williamsburg a few years ago I took a lot of shots of windows, shingles, doors, brick work and siding. By importing and resizing (you can do almost any scale)I've been able to create numerous buildings to suit my needs.
