No but its on my bucket list (…I've a pretty crappy bucket list) |

When we had the current Affairs board I was in a lot because people cried. I don't understand hurt feelings on a internet board. |
Losing the Will | 17 Jul 2014 9:16 a.m. PST |
Yes I was DH'd for the exact same crimes that others weren't! TMP is not a democracy or even a benign dictatorship there are different sets of rules for different people. |

No, but then Personal Restraint are my middle names. |
Royal Marine | 17 Jul 2014 9:46 a.m. PST |
I now have membership of that illustrious club. It's taken years of effort even with Commando training behind me, but I believe my wargaming career milestones are almost complete ;-) I must concur with the asynchronous nature of the membership; perhaps that's the beauty of it … just waiting for the next DELETED button to appear. |

Why, yes. It can happen randomly. |
morrigan | 17 Jul 2014 12:07 p.m. PST |
Why yes, yes I have. I felt kind of bad about it. Bill's rules are pretty clear and I violated them. |
Losing the Will | 17 Jul 2014 12:19 p.m. PST |
Unfortunately the fact the rules are clear means that it's also clear to see when they are violated and the perpetrators aren't DH'd. |
Jakse375 | 17 Jul 2014 12:27 p.m. PST |
I got in once for a few hours, back during the great OFM agreement issues. Didn't even notice. |
Zargon | 17 Jul 2014 12:44 p.m. PST |
I have serve time and yes I broke the rules, but I digress I actually just wanted to set you right on the name it 'Dauwghouse' it an Americanasim like 'color' and 'go figure' it conveys a whole other nuance of incarceration as in Gaol instead of Jail. A lot more interesting here on TMP I feel sort of like the Wild West. So erm Yes after all that.:) And boy I did not have to try hard to be naughty and get DHed. Me bad :+) |
Royal Marine | 17 Jul 2014 1:16 p.m. PST |
I Anglicised the thread as it was posted on the British page. I defer to the Queen and her perfect English in this case: "One doesn't have 'Dawgs' one has 'Corgis'." And I was 'nawty' hence a night in the kennels … but it was worth it to wind up a few Jocks. |
deephorse | 17 Jul 2014 1:39 p.m. PST |
I've been DH'd and had my Account Locked. I deserved the latter, even though I didn't know that what I did was against the rules. My DH "offence" wasn't against any rule I could see, but rather some misinterpretation of the rules by one of the legion of Editors now employed here. |
Mister Pete | 17 Jul 2014 1:41 p.m. PST |
I was once dawghoused for browsing TMP in the nude on a Sunday afternoon. Had it been a Monday, I would have been OK! |
Royal Marine | 17 Jul 2014 1:58 p.m. PST |
… just go run your own blog or website or whatever. We don't need nude Sundays; that's just wrong. |
Sparker | 17 Jul 2014 2:54 p.m. PST |
We don't need nude Sundays; that's just wrong Well folks, take note, is extremely rare you find a Royal Marine passing up an opportunity to strip off… I think the most inappropriate place a RM colleague called 'Naked Bar!' was in the Royal Naval College Senior Gunroom bar during the course of an Air Vice Marshal's visit – I think the Commando concerned had misunderstood the meaning of 'Vice'…. Bless 'em, Booties are great to have around in a tight spot, but some of them do struggle with the finer points of the English language – and that's just the officers… |
Rrobbyrobot | 17 Jul 2014 9:22 p.m. PST |
I've done my time in the puppy pound. Nobody knows the trouble I seen… |
Royal Marine | 18 Jul 2014 2:13 a.m. PST |
@Sparker … I only said "nude Sundays" … that still leaves 6 working days to complete the task properly. |
streetline | 18 Jul 2014 2:25 a.m. PST |
and that's just the officers… and he is an officer… |
Sparker | 18 Jul 2014 2:38 a.m. PST |
Yes and an outstanding one too – but I still don't want to see him naked on any day of the week! |
TelesticWarrior | 18 Jul 2014 4:46 a.m. PST |

I have been to the DH once, for pointing out to a trolling neo-nazi that he was a nazi troll. Now I don't bother and let the neo-nazis flounder in their delusional hatred. That was back in the days when getting DH'd really meant it, all posts scrambled so you couldn't even read the site. I believe that doesn't happen any more. |
christot | 20 Jul 2014 10:48 a.m. PST |
I think I was, a long time ago, can't actually recall. I think I said something uncomfortably accurate that upset someone who was congenitally and irrevocably stupid, and will remain so for the rest of their life, so, a bit pointless me saying it to be honest, as they were never going to be capable of understanding either what I said or their own monumental ignorance and misplaced over-sensitivity |
138SquadronRAF | 20 Jul 2014 2:01 p.m. PST |
Yes -once You see, gentle readers, a high stifle count means that I an adept at upsetting certain groups (players of Empire, Little Scotty Bowden fanboys, those sad types who play FoW and tournament games or supporters of Sinn Fein), not at breaking the rules established by our Dear Leader. On my one trip, I used the word defined as "the frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex" to describe a product on the FoW board – well you know that they have some shirking violets over there who are very protective on The One True Wargame (tm). The Dear Editor considered the word to be 'political' for some inexplicable reason. Needless to say I still consider the underlying game in the same manner – namely as "the frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex". (notice I did not say the word, but you can probably reverse engineer it.) A friend was doghoused for politics by pointing out a thread was becoming political. |

General Jumbo | 22 Jul 2014 10:33 a.m. PST |
Just visited my membership page for the first time in ages, after reading about "stifles" above, only to discover that I have been collecting "stifles" as well as "ignores", all unbeknown to me. Can anyone enlighten me as to what either of these are, what transgression I may have committed, and how will I suffer as a result? |
Supercilius Maximus | 22 Jul 2014 10:38 a.m. PST |
So like all prisons everyone sent there was innocent, yes? Not been yet, but I have my catcher's mitt and baseball close by, just in case. Be prepared for an annoying and incessant banging in the cell next door…… |

I've just gotten out of my first stint. How I've been changed. If a Higher Power did not condone my vigilante actions, I shall in future hit the Complain button when I get jack of this:
… it's OK to post that you don't like a particular company because … you don't like their products. But it's harassment if you follow them from topic to topic, whining about them. |
Inkpaduta | 27 Aug 2015 11:09 a.m. PST |
Once, not long after I joined the site. As a newbie I made a slight political joke. Slammer time. I have now seen the error of my ways and have gone straight. |
Supercilius Maximus | 27 Aug 2015 10:50 p.m. PST |
Not been yet, but I have my catcher's mitt and baseball close by, just in case. Be prepared for an annoying and incessant banging in the cell next door…… Well, a year on and I've now been in twice – once for pointing out that a certain UK newspaper will never miss a chance to on anything British (especially a success – in this case, winning the battle of Waterloo), and that said newspaper has only a passing acquaintance with the rules of spelling. Definitely a case of two nations separated by a common cluelessness about each other's culture. |
Jefthing | 28 Aug 2015 2:30 p.m. PST |
No, but I did manage to upset someone who couldn't spell with a Jimmy Saville joke. |
Bangorstu | 30 Aug 2015 12:45 p.m. PST |
I suspect I've spent longer in there than everyone else put together… Because I haven't learned the sensible lesson 138Sqn has, and insist on pulling people up when exhibiting the kind of behaviour which Hugh Bigod of Norwich gave his name to. Often I guess I deserve it. Still struggling to understand how exhibiting a distaste for US gun massacres constitutes a 'group attack' but there you go. |
