Does anyone recall the name of a science fiction movie about a guy trapped in his luxury penthouse apartment by an army of Little Green Army Men that come to life and begin attacking him?

As I recall, the main character is also the villain of the story. I don't recall the actor who played the character -- I believe the villain was a drug lord / underworld kingpin / all-around bad guy.

The movie must be at least 10-12 years old, in color -- perhaps a short-story in one of those anthologies like "Tales from the Crypt?"

In the film he had a dramatic shoot-out in the luxury apartment, blasting the Army Men with a shot gun and other weapons. The Army Men even brought up a towed artillery piece, unlimbered, and blew holes in the villain's bedroom door.

In the end, the villain received his due rewards from a Rambo-like action figure who cornered him trying to escape in an elevator.

I was thinking Darkroom as well.

Gentlemen -- thank you! Nightmares and Dreamscapes – Battleground it was.

I had only seen it once before years ago, and then only the last half of the film. Now I know "the rest of the story."

I'd like to think my 54mm WWII Soviet and Japanese collection would do the same for me, should I meet an untimely end at the hands of a low-down miscreant like that.

I vaguely remember this, I thought it was much older than 2006…

I thought it was older than 2006 also. I remember reading the original story as a kid. There was a special behind the scenes episode that showed how they created the figures. Also I found this interesting, During the episode not a single word is spoken.

way cool I hope my collection will avenge me if I get killed .

Since it took several helicopter gunships, a miniature nuclear device and almost 100% casualties to eliminate the villain, I'm not very confident that my black powder era armies would be able to avenge me!

A great film – thanks for the link.
