Hi guys, I was looking at pictures of Panzer Lehr division, or more correctly what is left of them after the airforce did their job.
I noticed that They had a bunch of C variant of sdkfz 251 halftrack. Is this a rare exception or would it be ok to throw in one or two C variants in the mix of D models around middle of 1944 in Normandy?

I'm not particularly fussy about stuff like that, particularly with late war units.

Production of the C continued into 1943 and Panzer Lehr started forming in late 43 so I don't see why it couldn't have inherited some of the older vehicles, particularly as you have photographic evidence they had 251/Cs.

Go for it.
