Wheels? Tracks? Walk? Grav thingies?

How does your scifi armour get around?

leidang15 Jul 2014 11:44 a.m. PST

All of those for different forces.

Angel Barracks15 Jul 2014 11:50 a.m. PST

Wheels mostly
then tracks
then walkers
then grav/hover/floaty.

ming3115 Jul 2014 11:52 a.m. PST

Same as angel Barracks . Each force has a different theme .

sharkbait15 Jul 2014 11:55 a.m. PST

All the above. A Good mix of all 4 actually.

Both – depends on the army

Human armies – mostly treads

My main alien army are Tau, so they float along like good khaki butterflies

Delta Vee15 Jul 2014 12:06 p.m. PST

all of the above, though if anyone wants to make 28mm Trepidia and Austrin grav tanks and apc from Traveller ill get em!

The G Dog Fezian15 Jul 2014 12:08 p.m. PST

All of the above for all the different factions. A growing number of VTOL hardware is showing up.

The one execption is hover. No hovercraft in the force pool.

War Monkey15 Jul 2014 1:29 p.m. PST

Wheel
Halftrack
Track
Gev/hover
Grav

It all depends on the force and tech level

Gaz004515 Jul 2014 1:35 p.m. PST

Yep as above, different faction- different tech, so grav, gev-aircushion,tracks,wheels and flyers with a few mechs ( small ones as in an 'emerging tech'- expensive and valuable).

whitphoto15 Jul 2014 2:04 p.m. PST

Yup.

Hover
Tracked
Wheeled
Grav but they are basically higher tech hover units
VTOL

No combat walkers though I do have them for construction work.

Everything except walkers. Look cool but the idea is dumber than a sack of hammers.

kallman15 Jul 2014 4:11 p.m. PST

Mostly tracked but I have a couple of anti grav and then a few walkers including the Khurasan Dictator superheavy mech. Which btw is a beautiful model.

Dances with Clydesdales15 Jul 2014 4:19 p.m. PST

So far just tracks and walkers. May convert a track to grav though.

Ron W DuBray15 Jul 2014 4:49 p.m. PST

tracks wheels and runs.

Cosmic Reset15 Jul 2014 5:26 p.m. PST

Mostly track
Some wheeled
Little grav
Almost no walker
No hover

Sloppypainter15 Jul 2014 5:31 p.m. PST

Wheels and tracks with a couple small walkers. Mostly do near future stuff.

khurasanminiatures15 Jul 2014 6:05 p.m. PST

including the Khurasan Dictator superheavy mech. Which btw is a beautiful model.

Thanks! I wanted something that would be put on the table that would look like it would crawl across the table, completely dominating it, but taking its time as it does so….

Mako1116 Jul 2014 6:01 p.m. PST

Fly.

Lion in the Stars16 Jul 2014 6:15 p.m. PST

Depends on what force/background. Near future forces? Wheels, tracks, maybe some light walkers.

farther into the future, some directed thrust vehicles start showing up (think Harrier crossed with the Caspian Sea Monster)

By the time we're up to Tagon's Toughs, though, it's all grav vehicles.

infojunky17 Jul 2014 6:48 p.m. PST

As we all Know after Tech Level 9 its All Grav baby….

SouthernPhantom18 Jul 2014 9:22 a.m. PST

Tracked and wheeled only. The only folks with A/G are barely around anymore, and don't have the resources to build it either way.
