Does anybody know if their is an English translation of this book? Try as I might I did not find information on one online.

Good luck, the website doesn't list an English translation

You sure you really want to read it (assuming an English translation is available)? It is a novel, something like 1000 pages.

I read Doeblin in German (although not this book) and his style, although interesting, takes some getting used to – and I don't think it will translate very well.

For thick books on Wallenstein I suggest 'Wallenstein: His Life Narrated (by Golo Mann), although probably more up-to-date works are available.
