I just wanted to express my general thanks for all the various painting tips posted on TMP and people's blogs over the years. Seeing other people's work has also been a huge source of inspiration.

Painting is one of the things I get most out of the hobby. The advice and inspiration on all manner of things has really helped me raise my standard to something I am happy with and can produce quickly enough to field armies in a variety of periods.

I entered some of my work in my Club's inaugural painting completion and against some really good entries was delighted and surprised to walk away with:-

Best Single Historical Figure
Best Single Historical Unit
Best Single Fantasy / Sci-Fi Figure

So a big thank you to everyone who puts the effort into producing blogs / posting painting tips.

Seeing the work other people from all around the world have posted on their blogs has really helped me get painting over the last eighteen months. I used to struggle to get a unit done in a year – now I am knocking them out every week or so on average. I put it down to the links I find on TMP and starting my own blog to record what I am up to.
