I recently got Zombicide, and liked it a lot. I am considering getting one or more expansions, but the website does not give much information. Which expansions are good, and why? Thanks for the help! |

In my experience they are all good. Just don't buy the separate boxes of miniatures until you are sure they aren't repeats of ones in the game sets. I think there is one box which is repeats. |

I do enjoy the Walk of the Dead 1 box of zombies. It comes with the fun "Romero" deck (all walkers, so as to simulate a zombie confrontation like a Romero movie.) |

What do you have already? Personally, I Kickstarted Season 2 and TCM, but once I had it I bought Season 1, the original set as it gave me the basic tiles to use with both sets (also giving me access to the original scenarios as well as all the fan-made ones at the official website) as well as more normal zombies. As for the various zombie boxes, they are all repeats of either S1 zombies, S2 zombies or Toxics from TCM. There are a few exclusive sculpts unique to the Toxic and Beserker boxes (KS backers got them as a bonus), but the main reason to buy them would be for the new Spawn cards. The 12 Spawn cards in each box work slightly differently than the equivalent from that season's box. For example, Walk of the Dead #1 has the "Romero" set, pure Walker hordes. Anyway, if the Spawn cards interest you, you can read what is included in each box at BGG. Here's the link to the Walk of the Dead #2: link |

You might check the kickstarter. They recently added the second season expansions as addons in addition to the season 3 stuff. I got in on the first 2 KS and will probably go in on this one. Painting that many figs is a real pain if you go that route, but makes the board a lot nicer looking. I'm still working on the season 2 stuff. I think that nazrat is right about there being a box of duplicate figs that you can buy. Nice if you need more, but I've never really found them necessary. Here's the KS link: link |

I am not that interested in the zombie boxes. There are more than enough in the boxes already. I am interested mostly in Prison Outbreak and Rue Morgue. I will probably end up backing this KS.Is the Dog Companions expansions any good? What about the Special Guest boxes? I guess it depends on the quality of the sculpts. Can anyone that has them give me their opinion? Again, thanks for your opinions. |

TOXIC CITY MALL adds TOXIC zombies of all "normal" kinds. These zombies CAN be killed in close combat, but they explode with a toxic spray and causes one wound to the survivor who killed it, so better to kill them from afar. PRISION OTBREAK adds BERSERKER zombies that CAN'T be killed by shooting, so you MUST kill them in close combat. ZOMBIE DOGS adds REALLY FAST zombies (3 activations per turn)scary. RUE MORGUE adds SKINNERS and CRAWLERS. When you kill a skinner, but in the same roll you get a "1" it turns into a crawler. ANGRY NEIGHBOURS adds SEEKERS who gets an additional activation EVERY TIME a seeker spawn card is dealt. We have played ALL the S1 + S2 + TCM missions, and by the time you're dealing with all kind of zombies at the same time the missions get really tactical, as you need to consider how to deal with the targetting priorities, as just one berserker walker shields ALL other kind of zombies from ranged weapions in a zone. BOX OF ZOMBIES usually are just THE SAME zombies you get in the main boxes, with maybe one or two different sculpts. Conclusion: I recommend all of them, but you must decide how do you want to play and how do you imagine your zombie outbreak. Hope that helps. |
