You guys may or may not know the answer to this but lets give it a try. The cold steel web site list the kopis machete as 2.8mm thick but I have heard it is thinner than that. Are there any TMPers that OWN the newer one and can tell me the exact thickness of the blade.

I have never seen one of these. I still have my old sugar cane machete. It is really nice. Thick blade and well balanced. What does something like you show cost? And what do you use it for?

Machete is kinda hard to carry around, but is great for pretty much any trouble you get into.

I have the cold steel magnum kukri machete, which is very similar. I'll measure the blade width when I get a chance, but it's a hefty chunk of steel.

Elsyrsyn Thanks but I have the Magnum Kukri. I collect machetes. Its just if it is the same 2.8mm I will buy it. If its just 2mm like the Latin machetes I will leave it. The site says 2.8mm but some reviews have said its thin but not actually measured it hence my frustration.

If you watch the sales you can get a machete for $3.24 USD at harbor freight tools that'll do ya for all your zombie killing needs.

Its probably just as good at cutting stuff, for probably long enough for most people.
