A Dark Ages raid using the SAGA rules and beautiful 28mm figures and terrain played at the new, one-day Hold The Line convention held in west-end Toronto. From the official game description: GM: Mark Ellis Come try out the SAGA rules in an introductory game. All rules will be explained during the play. The forces are Vikings raiders vs. Anglo-Danish forces in a fight over a small Dark Age hamlet and its livestock. Will you be the greatest warlord on the day? link I've seen several convention games of this sort through the years but the buildings and figures for this one were very good. And don't let my having to lighten the photos artificially fool you on that count. If the slideshow is playing too fast for your tastes, "slow" may be selected from the pull-down "Options" list. |

Those are some nice crofter looking buildings – where are they from? |

I had fun in the game. Lots of battles ended in mutual extermination. Thanks to Mark for running this game. I'm interested in the rules. |
