I noticed that if a TMPer changes the name on his account after starting a thread, his old name remains on the Front Page, but when you open the topic his new name appears. Example:

Was started when X went by the name of "death to smoochy" which appears on the front page. He then changed his name to "fox news tea party" which is how he is named in the topic itself.
Lest we think this is an artifact of having a Locked Account:

has "Editor Bill" as the author on the Front Page, with "Editor in Chief Bill" as the name in the topic itself. Not the most important thing in the universe… |

It is an odd bug, but I like it. I have found that by the careful and deliberate changing of my TMP name during the Lunar calender I have actually lost 138 and 14 Stifles and Ignores, respectively. Maybe not a huge amount but very welcome to me. Let's just say it's another gift from The Editor, or whatever he deins to call himself these days – Love God? |
