New PSC 15mm T34 and Panzer one piece track options. We are delighted to announce the re-release of these 2 15mm kits. Exactly the same kit as before but the kits now contain additional one piece track option sprues for those that prefer a quicker build but with slightly less track detail. Those who prefer the original detailed 3 piece track and wheel option can still build this way. Choice is good!

Now available in the webstore, £19.95 GBP for a box of 5 models:-

Woot! I think that's a great idea! I'm so glad you're going in this direction. My Panthers look great except I can't seem to keep the tracks from separating in the front, leaving a small gap. If you go this route with all your tanks, I'll buy the Panthers again (Tigers too, for that matter). Good stuff!

Just to note… The PSC two piece tracks have a 'Left' and 'Right' set, and when on the correct side, it leaves little if any gap, though some fit tighter than others.

Problem is knowing which is which!

I only remove one set at a time and dry fit before gluing to see the best fit. Sometimes I do file down the ends to ensure a clean fit.

I bought the kits a couple months ago and have not built yet.
Is there any way to just get the tracks?

I have the previous set of T34 with the 3 piece tracks.
Bear in mind that I am NOT an "experienced modeler". That is code for "knows what to do when the parts do not line up well".
I suppose they do line up well if you know what you are doing, but it took me 3 trues before I figured out how to pit them together.
And maddeningly the treads join together, badly with my skill, on the visible portion. Just like metal manufacturers always put the casting vent there.
Yeah, I know. Paint it mud there…

Let's face it. If you are assembling 1/35 scale tanks, you have skill up the wazoo and know exactly how things fit. You also usually get instructions that are better than an exploded diagram.
I am a guy who wants to put some gaming pieces together, with toes for fingers.
I wish I had bought one piece tracks. Maybe I will for my next set of 5.

Since Piers first mentioned this a while back I have been careful to keep the "pairs" together and test fit them and have found no real problems.

Any plans to do this for the Sherman kits?

Outstanding! Those fiddly track were one of my very few quibbles with PSC tank kits. This will make assembly go much faster and easier. I bought a box of the Panzer III J-N's and pleasntly discovered these had one piece tracks as well. PSC keeps improving on already excellent productswith each new release. Now if they can release a 15mm 1944 British Infantry Heavy Weapons and Bren/Universal Carrier boxed sets I would be a very happy camper! Salut y'all!

John, When I realised how Difficult asembling the tracks would be I noted on the parts sprue diagram which direction the track set was oriented. I use Testors liquid cement which is a lot more forgiving than Super Glue as far as postioning of parts goes.
Nowadays when I have multiple models of the same type I typically build the first model as a prototype taking notes and once finished write an assembly procedure on my computer save it and print it out. It saves a whole lot of time and frustration in assembly. Salut mon ami!

For the multi part tracks it would have been useful to have an indication on the sprue as to which bits were left and right, but for both the T34 and Pz IV they really do only fit properly one way (due to the way the wheels and track teeth line up) and once you've figured it out I just put cuts on the other sprues to to remind me.

One piece tracks will certainly be a lot easier though.
