and Battlefield Model debut
Last Saturday, Delapre Abbey, Northampton hosted a battlefield Open Day with walks, talks, reenactment, kids activities and the first outing for my new wargame model of the battle
Despite the unreliable weather, and competition from everything from a World Cup on TV from Brazil, Wimbledon or a Grand Prix just down the road, we had a pretty good turn out and a fine afternoon for the outdoor activities
The wargame model was used to tie together the discussions of the battle, reenactments and the ground as it is today – and people were very complimentary over how it helped them make sense of events from over 500 years ago

Today is the anniversary of the battle and a short commemoration will take place at the Eleanor Cross this evening. 18:30 meet at Delapre Abbey. All welcome.
