I am with Kyotebluer, an AAR would be fantastic! |

This is my favorite. Scroll down for the August 1942 drawings Australia link Canberra link Unfortunately there isn't an image of Hobart at Guadalcanal but she was painted similarly I believe. You didn't ask for Perth but I find it amusing perthone.com/pcamflge.html Scroll down to the bottom Of course she is long gone by Guadalcanal Edited having problems with the links |

Yes I agree with the other guys asking for an AAR! What rules/scale are you going to use? I'm really sorry I can't actually help with your request

Savo wouldn't be 'Savo' without the element of surprise. Our group has done it several times in 1/1200 and it is a difficult battle to generate a scenario from given the disposition and lack of command control on the USN side. We finally settled on dividing the USN forces into several commands (players) with the IJN controlled by a game master. |

Good plan for the scenario. |

also agree that your planned scenario methodology will bring an element of surprise/uncertainty for the allied players. I request you post the AAR and your house rules. Many of us like to see how others handle some of the various details via house rules. thanks |

^dragon6 Thanks for the links. That's a fascinating hybrid. You've just moved Perth up considerably on my to-do list. |

looking forward to the action--keep the reports coming. nice set of house rules used for this battle too. I appreciated how you gave the players choices for set up and fleet compositions. |

Interesting scenario prep, QC. Did you post images of the ships you specially painted for your Savo game? BTW, the image on your title page is slightly mislabeled, in that the center ship looks like a Town class CL, rather than a DD. It may well be 1/1800 scale, though. Mark |
