I am looking to do some Arab Israeli battles for 1967 at the skirmish level. The figures used will be 15mm. I was thinking of using Fist Full of Tows 2 at their 1:1 scale but I decided to ask and see what else was out there. The rules should cover Armor and Infantry. Thanks, Victor |

If you are using FFoT at 1 to 1 scale that is a step above skirmish since it is squad stands. At that level IDF by Avalon Hill is a very good set if you want high detail, it is a board game but easily translates to miniatures. Firepower (also an AH board game) is good for actual skirmish (man to man) level. It has stats for the needed equipment. Too Fat Lardies have a couple of scenarios and stats for the AIW (not sure if that is 73 or 67 war however) |

Then you should buy the Force on Force rules from Ambush Alley. The rules deal with Fire Teams and Squads and of course you can go higher then that with Platoons and Attachments. Armor is very simple considering the armor rules i used to use were the old Battle Ground WW2 rules which were good but super detailed that it could slow your game down. FOF is fast and well thought out and bases troops on their quality and not what weapons they are shooting. link |

Does "Some corner" cover vehicles though? |

I asked him about "Some Corner" and he said they didn't cover vehicles. |

It depends on what you mean by 'skirmish'. At 15mm and 1:1 you could play with a platoon a side or a company aside, depending on the level of complexity. Your choice will also be affected by the type of game you want e.g. how much emphasis on command and control. At company level IABSM3 by the Toofatlardies could be adapted easily and FoW has a 6DW variant. The free introductory version of Sabresquadron will be available later this month at company level too. At platoon level there's Force on Force, also Chain of Command could be used with a bit of work |

Flying Lead, by Ganesha Games, is good for this level, and covers vehicles as well. |

I've been thinking about what has been posted here about the size of the game I want to put on for this conflict. I would like the armor/vehicles to represent 1 tank/vehicle. I think Infantry wise it might be best to represent a few bases as a squad with the a gamer being able to control a platoon. With a couple of platoons per side. What are your thoughts? |

I don't like the Flames of War rule sets. |
