Here's a sampling from two platoons of early war Austrian infantry I have painted to represent the 35th I.R. These are Old Glory 25s. link I've been painting some early war Hussars too. These are Battle Honors 25mm. I only wish they provided dismounted figures. link |

How do the two manufacturers compare/match size wise? What color did you use for the infantry uniforms? |

Those are terrific-looking figures. I especially want to thank you for showing the OG Austro-Hungarians -- OG hasn't got around to posting a picture on their website! |

The Battle Honors figures are definitely larger in size than the Old Glory 25's. In my opinion, I think they should be advertised as 28mm rather than 25mm. On the other hand, I base all of my WW1 figures separately for skirmish-style games, so they look fine on the table mixed together. As for the Austrian uniforms, I'd highly recommend using the Men-at-Arms volume THE AUSTRO-HUNGARIAN FORCES IN WORLD WAR I: 1914-16 as your guide. I've tried to do my best to mix light grey with just a bit of blue to get the shade right. link |

It seems common that painters have to mix the uniform color. I wish I could find a good color right out of the bottle. |
