Looking for rules for my 25mm Span-Am Armies that would work good for Cons . Not crazy about the Span-Am rules out there ,so would be willing to use a more generic set and just add the appropiate weapons, moral etc.. for the US and Spanish .

The Sword and the Flame.
It's as generic as you can get. grin I even use it for American Revolution.

Edit it as you wish. Just do not get carried away favoring your favorite side.

I'm not crazy about TSATF, but the Spanish American war is one conflict which really suits the rules well. I'd go with them.

I've used Battles For Empire 2 for Span-Am – they worked well

The whole thing that was published by Old Glory was quite good for this and would make an excellent show/ participation stuff. One might want to add a bit of simple C3 to it.

As usual with the " what's the best rule for>>>"
the fits answer is what scale of game? skirmish, grand skirmish, battle, how much time and space do you have etc.

I've used TSATF and even put together some modified charts.

Another vote for TSATF here.

And here is another vote to use TSATF. Heck there might even be a supplement for the conflict. I would perhaps use the British stats for the Americans and use the Egyptian stats for the Spanish forces. Should make for a fun fight.

TSATF was the direction I was leaning and seems to be popular with many of you as well . I know enough about the Span-Am to alter the moral, weapons etc.. to the rules to make it work . I will place a AAR when all is said and done . Many thanks Amigos
