Mog and I played the Second Battle of Guadalcanal scenario using Naval Thunder on Tuesday evening.

All of the Japanese torpedo tubes had reloads, the U.S, battleships should have had to face another salvo of long lances. |

It was difficult and dangerous to reload in close combat. The DDs could pull back,reload then return to combat. Remember the LL was two tons of Oxygen and high explosive. |

Did you use the over-penetration rule? It makes a huge difference in DD survivability. |

Thanks chaps. We did use the over-penetration rule, but a 16" shell going through a DD still makes a mess and causes a critical. |
