If the TMP bug were to take corporeal form, as a miniature figure, what should it look like? Suggestions? Thoughts? Dan |

Perhaps this best meets my feeling about the bug and the particular view is deliberate.

Hmm. Wow. I really thought you guys would be suggesting things like the anti-engine gremlin from that old Twighlight Zone episode with Shatner:
Or some other beast or character that enjoys hacking into computers or destroying technology in general. Maybe like Matthias and his Brotherhood/Family in the film Omega Man:

Well, since the TMP "Bug" is really a programming glitch with the habit of turning one post for another and of making posts disappear
A) How about some sort of shape-shifter, like the "salt-vampire" in that old Trek episode, The Man Trap?
B) Or perhaps it's some sort of Artificial Intelligence (AI) trying to take over the website, like Terminator's Skynet, or the "Twilight Time" AI in the X-Files? link link Dan |

Since it causes posts to appear in threads they had no relation to, maybe something like a medieval soldier toting a bolt gun? |

Those who are familiar with Red Dwarf will get the appropriateness of the TMP bug being rendered as a Psiren

I'd make it a spider, since it lurks about waiting to pounce on the unwary. |

A combination lock with a face that looks like a cross between a clock and a roulette wheel. With the 'Refresh' symbol on the end of the knob. Click the knob and the face spins, randomly, to and fro. |
