Is there a manufacturer that makes a 1/56th scale early Marder III (SdKfz 139)

picture

I know there's a 'toy' company that does a pre-painted 1/48th one. but is there also a smaller 1/56th?
Thanks very much for any help!

Willie

To my knowledge no one does it yet. It would be nice if they did because I definitely would get a few.

The ones produced a few years back (2004-2008) in 1/48th scale by 21st Century toys out of China were very nice. They did several, based on the Czech-built 38(t) chassis and the Panzer II chassis.

What a pity they've gone out of business. Their 1/32nd scale vehicles and figures were also quite nice.

The 1:48 version is spot on in terms of size vs "heroic 28s"

I have a few boxed spares if you are interested…

I hope Blitzkrieg produce an early Marder II. They have the right chassis with the Flamingo…

Thanks Porkmann! Normally I would jump on the offer but I've only recently started with 28mm WWII gaming and all my figures are Perry. Tried them against a 1/48th scale vehicle my mate had, and they looked like schoolboys playing at war.
Like you I really hope Blitzkrieg brings out a 'proper' scaled 1/56th model, but in the mean time I'll keep myself busy with my kubelwagens and other recce vehicles.

No problem! The Perrys are lovely figures but purposely scaled for 1:56 so will look tiny near bigger vehicles.

Have you considered Warlords Panzerjager 1? It has less firepower but is a great little model and ideal for North Africa (as well as Russia!)
