I recently completed a platoon of British Infantry suitable for 1944 or 1945 in North West Europe. I used a boxed set from Valiant Miniatures.

More details on my blog.

Feel free to have a look.

Those look great. I like the way you did the signs like the 2"mortar! Very "in character".

@Pijlie

Thanks.

Did you notice that the HQ bases have a patch of gravel, Section 1 has one boulder, Section 2 has two boulders etc and Supports have four boulders.

Top job mate…..

I love Valiants, and yes I know they are a larger figure…don't care!

(but do some bloody Russians please Valiant!)

All I can say is Ian would have been very pleased with the finished miniatures, they are first class.

Ps Lost your email address.

Very nice work!

Nice! Like the variety of Valiants, and yes, realize they are quite large, if someone would like to buy me all 20mm lead to replace my extensive and comprehensive Valiant collection – I would be open to that.
Yes, Russians would be greatly appreciated too!

That's not a sign. Due to an unfortunate childhood accident, 2" Mo is the guy's nickname.

Very nice job, although the "stain" seems to have overwhelmed the lighter tone of the webbing on one or two figures.

@Lord Elpus

I'm led to believe that both the uniforms and the webbing varied in colour quite a lot particularly after an extended period in the field.

There, how's that for a reason (excuse).

Jim Mate wwwwwwwe have been given the boot.

No more Paxman for us.

JimDuncanUK11 Jul 2014 9:32 a.m. PST

Getting political were we?

JimDuncanUK11 Jul 2014 9:32 a.m. PST

Don't answer, we'll just get into more trouble!

Lord Elpus13 Jul 2014 5:58 a.m. PST

Good excuse, Jim (in fairness, it only really showed up in the close-ups). However, the RSM will be along any minute wanting to know why everything hasn't been blanco'ed, given the diversity of tone……

JimDuncanUK13 Jul 2014 8:31 a.m. PST

@Lord Elpus

Chain of Command is a platoon scaled game so the RSM will not demean his rank by focusing on just a platoon!

(Is that a better excuse?)

Good one!
