I would like to unreservedly apologise for moaning about the long delays on delivery of a bargain sprue deal on Persians, ordered back in May. It turns out the amazing people at customs in the UK forgot to send the document for me to pay to clear customs, and it has been sat in a warehouse for five weeks. Fortunately the brains behind royal mail have sent a reminder today

A lesser man would not have clarified the issue & apologised. Well done. |

Good job and and shows integrity! |

Its not the people at customs
its the post office who deal with 99% of parcels now. I'm sure they charged you £8.00 GBP for pleasure of doing it for the customs too. |

Wow, I've had my issues with USPS, but the horror stories I continue to hear about Royal Mail just fills me with sympathy! The paperwork in shipping cross-borders has always had me understanding 'ship to my own country, only', but this kind of thing just makes it more likely. On occasion, I like to gift stuff to internet 'friends' for weird projects, but it's becoming a case of 'no good deed goes unpunished
' Likewise on the kudos for sharing, Maddaz111! Doug |

No, as an ex customs and revenue employee, I can categorically confirm it was the fault of customs
Fortunately the parcelforce reminder arrived today. |

Wow, I've had my issues with USPS, but the horror stories I continue to hear about Royal Mail just fills me with sympathy! I agree, I can't believe anyone from the UK will order from abroad anymore. I almost wonder if it is an attempt to keep money in country. |

I'm in the UK and order from abroad all the time (Hong Kong, US, Oz, mainland Europe etc). Never had a problem. Maybe I'm just lucky. |

"as an ex customs and revenue employee" That makes two of us. Got rid of too many bodies
. plus other factors, there could be a rant but I will refrain. |

Its not 'Royal' anymore when it went to shares the greed set in and its more like Royal Pain in the A** Mail. "Profits before Pride" the motto of all mega corps. Feel yall pain, have felt local PO incompetence often enough as well. Nice of you on the Mea culpa regarding WGF too, I think they really do their best nowadays. Enjoy the goodies and happy gaming. |

And to clarify further, it took wargames factory at most six days to ship my order from USA to the UK. I'm still waiting on two orders from UK companies ordered around the same time. |

wargames factory is decent enough people. I've only ever bought from their booth at a con, or from my FLGS, but I have nothing but nice things to say about the people I've met, or the product I've gotten. |

I'm with Sondergaard on this. I too order from all over the world and have never had a problem. Indeed, sometimes a package that should attract a hefty fee comes through without charge. When that happens my joy is almost unbounded! |
