Back again with one last question. Hoping you will all help me out. Trying to choose between Artizan and WLG fallschirmjager. They both seem nice with variety of sculpts. I have already purchased some WLG Heer and British. So, I wouldn't be "mixing" the fallschirmjager into the Heer (but they might be on the same table during a game). Is either one more historically accurate (yee gads, I am frightened to ask)? How about easier to clean and paint? As always, thank you for your help. I would like to make my decision rather quickly and spend what little coin I have left now before my wife gets ahold of it and buys something else

I've painted some of the WLG sculpts and like them a lot. I've painted other Artizan sculpts and like them a lot. It would be hard for me to decide between the two. |

Six of one, half a dozen of the other. They mix well and I have both in my armies. Artisan are a little cleaner, but it just depends upon what floats your boat. |

I also have both Artizan and Warlord FJ plus a pile of Crusader early war FJ and a few Black Tree Design. All mix fairly well. The Warlord line has some very unique support weapons for the FJ including the "squeeze-bore" Panzerbucshe 41 Anti-tank gun and the 10.5cm LG40/1 recoilless gun. Artizan makes FJ on motorcycles as well as BTD and Warlord has a FJ Kettenkrad. BTD makes some inexpensive artillery and some unique FU Engineers and Commo troops to round out your forces. The real question is which FJ uniform will you go with? I ended up doing mine in early war solid smocks so that they would be at home in Belgium until Berlin – also easy to paint (a fellow TMPer painted the grunts and I painted all the support troops), although those sexy camo smocks are pretty sweet. Tough decision. Why not get both? Below are links to some eye candy painted by Tom Weiss: Artizan 1: link Artizan 2: link Warlord: link |

I'm with LostPict, any will mix OK, and I did mine in the green-gray smock. The real question, I think, is period. If you're doing later-war, the Warlord FJs have a great motley mix of uniforms, including the Luftwaffe ground combat smock. This, however, makes them not so good for early war outings like Norway, Low Countries, and Crete. It seems like you're doing more of a '44-'45 thing, so they should be fine for your purposes. |

I think it would be best to get some of each. The two mix together very well. This will give you more variety. |

Artizan is my favorite W.W.II figure line. That being said, I've mixed both lines together with my North African armies. The Warlords troops are a bit smaller, so I added an extra washer on the base and they match up just fine. |

OBTW, Crusader makes a nice box of 24 FJ (early war – aka MG-34s and no Assault Rifles) that formed the basis of my initial FJ muster. It was easy to add the later period stuff to the from Artizan, BTD, and Warlord since they all mix well enough so that I can also game late war. Lost Pict |

Yep I would say they all mix well but I am partial to Artizan's 28 mm WW II figures. |

Thank you all so much for your input. I am really torn. Shouldn't be this big of a deal but an investment is an investment and I would like to be happy with my choice. I guess I really cannot go wrong. I will let you know how I end up. |
