Very cool looking game! I well remember my Cybertronic army facing my son's Algeroth horde composed of lots of Undead legionnaires, a couple of razides and some Necromutants. The UL rolled crazy well and shot up my big tough guys. Pretty much a similar game to yours. Thoughts on the new rules? Thanks, John |

John, there were two players playing locally as soon as they received the KS books and some of the miniatures. They played regularly for a month or so. They are now back playing 40K. They "liked" the rules. However, my few games of 1st Edition garnered a lot more attention from even the young 40K players. I think that a redux of 1st Edition would be a good seller |

Thanks guys! @ John: It is hard to tell from just one game, especially one so dominated by the dice. But all in all I would say the rules are solid and lead to fast fun games. I am not sure about the use of cards in the advanced game. I usually like such elements of uncertainty, but I think with the simpler mechanics (when compared to most historical games) they can have too much of an impact on such small games. But then you are free to leave them out. Th other thing I see is that there are a huge number of abilities for most units. Combined with the option to customize your force to some degree there is a lot of room for people to play the rules instead of the game. So I think a lot will depend on the people you play with. If those are power gamers who are just there for the win, they have lots of room to abuse the rules. If you have a group that is more interested in the fun of playing, it should be fine. |

I am a dyed in the wool Warzone fanboy! Started with 1st edition which is still my favorite. I own every faction form the old game system including Dark Eden. I have read the rules and am not entirely clear on how they work. I'd like to see a game. I'm not sure about all the gear and the cards. The forces/games also look much smaller than I played in 1st edition. Maybe that's wrong? I have to admit that I was not thrilled that there were some major unit stats left out of the army lists. That also didn't excite me. So, while I wish Prodos all the best, I'm hoping I can get a game. Or maybe watch up close to really decide if the new system is for me. Thanks, John |

I started playing on the first Ed. as well, but liked the 2nd slightly better. The rulebook is not the best when it come to the editing. Many things are not where you would expect them, which is why the rules are hard to grasp, but they are working on that. I agree most games seem to be smaller than before, but nothing is keeping one from just fielding more points! I am not sure about the card yet either. It is an innovative concept, but this first gave me the feeling, that they somewhat take the tabletop tactics away and replace it with another element of luck. The units left out from the army lists seem strange, but that being said, this is only the first release. They already announced that more units will follow via PDF and later Army Books as well. |
