"In June 2014, during Eurosatory 2014 International Defense and Security Exhibition in France and at DVD 2014 in United Kingdom, General Dynamics has showcased the latest in wheeled combat technologies with the Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV) Demonstrator. Based on the Canadian Army's LAV 6.0, the LAV Demonstrator represents best in-class levels of protection with blast-deflecting Double-V Hull technology and energy-absorbing seating for crew and troops. With an inherent Double-V" hull and energy attenuated seats, the LAV Demonstrator provides world-class protection. The vehicle also features an upgraded driveline, suspension, larger tires, and a more powerful engine to deliver significantly increased payload and superior mobility performance

No M2 HMG and only 150 main gun rounds! 150 rounds ready to fire, there's probably another 600+ rounds in storage. Bradleys have 300 rounds ready to fire (70 and 230rd mags) and 600 more to reload. Bradleys also lack an M2 .50cal. It does look incredibly tall? Double-Vee hull and seats suspended from the ceiling kinda forces a bit more height. Too bad this wasn't the diesel-electric hybrid monster with 8x 150hp wheel hub motors. Can you imagine a 30ton Stryker with 1200hp? |
