Here are my Calpe 1st Westphalian Fusiliers. My house was flooded when I was out of the country. I've been sorting things out since I came back. The house is now full of soldiers drying on tissue paper. Luckily these figures were on high ground.

I don't normally make the bases this deep. But I found it a real pain to store and use figures that have parts which are bigger than the base. So this time I took the opportunity to expand the base and put down a bit of extra ground work.

Very nice. I agree about the base sizes. I have done my British and Spanish Napoleonics on 40x50mm deep bases. Keeps the bayonets inside the area of the base, where possible.

How did your house get flooded? Back in 2004 my garage was flooded in a big storm (nearly got the house) and I had a whole heap of plastic Bretonnians float away. All the resin turrets on my Battlefront WWII Shermans floated away too – the tanks were on magnetic bases and attached to a sheet of metal for storage/carrying.

What a nightmare. At least my house border is closed. Hope nothing made a run for it.

We had very heavy rainfall in Chittagong within a short period. The whole country is over populated and there is too little drainage. The drains there are aren't properly maintained and have a lot of junk blocking them. Net result – water and raw sewage up to about 14 inches in the house. I have been spending a lot of time laundering things in the brief periods of sunshine. Worse things happen here. So I have to count my blessings.

I changes all my newly based dudes to 15x25 to allow for more base-bling and miniature protection – the depth of the base is pure imagination anyways.
