Hi chaps
Cracked out another unit this past week. A married Zulu regiment that was at Isnadlwana and Rorke's Drift. More Black Tree Designs – working my way through them.

Cheers
Brian

Quite excellent. What are you using for the bases and movement trays?

Brian Smaller06 Jul 2014 2:44 p.m. PST

The bases are 25mm mdf rounds (3mm). The movement trays are 3mm mdf with a .85mm sheet of card as a base.

This project is coming along quite impressively.

Yes – I have no idea why I was so nervous about doing Zulus. I have got the hang of cranking them out now – got another 36 almost done in two days. Just the shields and basing to go.

Another great Impi, like the "iNdluyengwe" that I have seen already, you really do some nice work and should be proud of them.
36 from 'box to based' in just 2 days? Man 'IF Only" I could get that focused.

The movement trays are 3mm mdf with a .85mm sheet of card as a base.
Did you make your movement trays or order them? It sounds like you cut out the 'holes' yourself, then just placed the card below to be 'the bottom' of each movement base.

Im making '20 fig' units, currently I have one each White, Black and Red shield unit. Im using something 'close' to Reaper Blood red as my 'red shield' color.

Now..off to find more of your great work.

Hi Part time gamer.

I brought the movement trays locally but anyone who does bases or laser cutting could do them for you.

The have a 0.8mm thick piece of magnetised vinyl on the bottom. I was going to use washers to base the figures on which is why I brought the magnetic vinyl in the first place but in the end just used the cut-outs that came from the sabot bases.
