Hobby Bunker in Malden, just to the north of Boston. is probably your best bet: hobbybunker.com/. |

Orleans to Malden will take you more than two hours to get there, getting back will take you almost twice as long with the Cape traffic, everybody will be going to the Cape. There are a few small hobby shops between Orleans and Malden, but nothing worth driving to. I would check out Hobby bunkers website before going, its a long way. I go to the Bunker quite a bit, always worth the ride to me. A lot of WW2, Perry plastics, terrain, supplies, toy soldiers galore for the collector and gamer. Fantasy games, magazines, the list is endless. |

I believe there is summer rail service from Hyannis to South Station in Boston. Then connect to the T , the subway system; Check it but I think Malden is serviced by the yellow line. Exchange St. Is just a block up from the stop. If you walk down Exchange street, about 300 yards, the Bunker is just on the left, a corner door, across from a parking garage. Best hobby shop in MA Use of rail may help with travel times. It would be an adventure in any case. |
