Hi all! Somewhat inspired by the painting tutorial on the latest Wargames Illustrated I finalized the last infantry squad and jeeps for my Red Devils! After powering through 2 squads and support weapons in less than a month in April these last s took about two months to finish of. I tried to use quite a bit of weathering with paint chips, dirt and streaking effects. Worked out quite nicely, even if the dust on the wheels is maybe slightly too light coloured. I'm going for a Arnhem themed force so lots of rubble etc. on the bases. Few more pics can be found from my blog: engineered-gaming.blogspot.fi

They look great. Especially nice job on the Denison camo. Just the right level of color diffusion and can still be clearly seen. |

Thank you guys! It's been quite nice to do the rubble bases as it's very different from anything that I normally do and it's actually really fast too. |

Not a fan of Warlord or Warhammer 1944k, but your painting is solid. |

Thanks! Bolt Action does have it's issues, but when used with more or less historical unit compositions, and not the over optimized tournament lists that people build, it actually gives semi-realistic results and real life tactics work quite nicely. And being able to play a game through in one or two hours is a big plus. |

I also managed to finish some armor support in the form of a Tetrarch. Historically these didn't really prove too useful and I doubt that they will perform any better in the game either. The piece is tiny when you have it sitting next to anything else. More along the size of a tankette than a real tank. Still a nice mini to paint and to practice weathering on. I did have some issues with paint coming off the tracks as they were more rubbery and quite flexible eventhough they are made of resin too. Still I managed to fix it quite well without leaving any clear marks. Hopefully the paint won't start coming off during gaming then.
