I am looking for the given name and patronymic of the major Добровольский / Dobrovol'skii / Dobrowolski of the Volynskiy infantry who commanded the 2nd combined grenadier battalion of the Russian 4th infantry division in 1812.
I estimate that he was born about 1780. A captain in the Tobol'skiy musketeers, he was promoted major in the Volynskiy musketeers on 12.XII.1810. Wounded at Borodino, he was stricken from the rolls of the Volynskiy infantry as "dead from combat" on 31.VIII.1813.
That's all I know more or less for sure.
It is not impossible that he is the Nikolai Ivanovich Dobrovol'skii who was awarded the Saint-Anna 4th class on 25.VII.1810.
Alternatively, it is not impossible that he is a son of Иосиф (Осип) Доливо-Добровольский / Iosef (Osip) Dolivo-Dobrovol'skii / Józef Dobrowolski h. Doliwa
and his wife Анна Годземба-Чиж / Anna Godzemba-Chizh / Anna Czyż h. Godziemba, who were living in the Mogilev region of eastern Belarus.
There are three brief regimental histories that are unlikley to provide the needed given name and patronymic. But if someone has any of them, I would appreciate a quick look for my Dobrovol'skii

Perhaps more useful would be this one, as it is a bit longer. I fear that it was never more than a manuscript, as I can't even locate a library that holds it. So any help just finding where this one might be now would be a great help
