Been researching this one for quite a while. Finally put all the bits together in my head a couple weeks ago and got round to building it. Its supposed to be able to fit into anything mid 17th / 18th century. Everything is scratch built.

More things on my blog.

Very nice.

Looks a little like an Inn on the Yorkshire Moors featured in a 1990s Archaeology programme I have a vague memory off. Part of you're research by any chance?

Edit:- Corrected the date (I know I'm old but 1090 was before even my times)

It isn't something which rings a bell.

If my vague memory is correct, you could extend usage into the early 19th century. I even had aunts living in buildings not too dissimilar to that in 1940s.

Again very nice very, very nice.

love it. reminds me of the family's old farm house in Ireland (late 18th/early 19th). Now a 2 room guest house for visiting family.

Forgot to ask – how about a tutorial on how it was done.

That looks really authentic. I love the rotting thatch. I dread to think what the beer is like!

I like the sagging roof-is there hobbittses inside?

I really love this model- it has a very earthy feel to it and should be a credit to any wargames table it sits proudly on.

Darrell.

Thanks folks.
Gavandjosh02 asks about a tutorial. Is there much interest from others for this? If there is, I'll do one one the blog. If not, I'm happy to field individual questions.
