I have these rules and I am having a problem with the morale tests. Is there miss print in the rules? As morale declines due to casualties, the rules state. That rolling over the new morale level to pass the test is required. However, I must be reading it wrong but it seems easier to do as the morale gets less. ie Start at 6, 1 officer casualty -1 1 sixth casualties -2 = 3. Now roll over this on a d6 to pass. What am I getting wrong? |

Do you subtract the penalty from the die roll instead of the target # ? |

the main error: you add the die roll to your 3 and need to get 6 or more a minor mistake: 1/6 casualties is -1 (1/4 is -2) also I'm not quite sure you should deduct officer losses from 6, but rather count all surviving officers as plus "x", starting at 0. Like this: CO and 2 other officers surviving = +4 1/6 losses = -1 D6 roll = +X (here needing a 3+) |

I used to use this in conjunction with the Age of Reason morale results: 6+ = Carry on in Good Order 5 = Halt Disorganized 4 = Fall Back in Disorder 3 = Retreat 1-2 = Rout |
