Dear All,

If you haven't already done so, please consider taking part in this survey of wargaming. Although there may be a few issues with the way the questions are framed, this will still be a valuable tool for snapshotting and gauging the hobby…and their are prizes apparently!

The actual link to the survey monkey is in the first comments box below the vid…

I thought it was, until I realized it was a marketing tool to sell their magazine.

53Punisher01 Jul 2014 3:20 p.m. PST

Ok, just completed it. Doesn't bother me too much that it was a marketing tool as long as it helps to promote/grow the hobby.

A survey run by a company that publishes a hobby mag had some questions that might help them learn more about their marketplace you say?

" you could've knocked me over with a feather '

Done. And I don't care that there were marketing questions in there.

Rrobbyrobot01 Jul 2014 4:11 p.m. PST

Interesting

If you win a prize, free stuff is free stuff.

Done, I subscribe to the magazine anyway, love it.

Cyrus the Great01 Jul 2014 8:25 p.m. PST

Done.

Seems like a good idea to try to find out what your target market wants, so I answered it.

Tin Soldier Man02 Jul 2014 4:38 a.m. PST

How on earth could anyone be offended by a magazine attempting to discover what it's customers, and potential customers, are interested in? Seems like best practice to me.

What he said.

:-)

Didn't even get to the survey.

Apparently it requires me to update my browser to suit them.

Not happening.

Sounds like they are considering going all electronic versus print from the nature of the questions – seems to be the future of all hobby publishing (except, maybe, model railroading – which still supports about a dozen or so rags).

You have my 2 cents worth. No problem with bringing to market what I like to see.

You also get a 10% discount code at the end of the survey. Just bought a bunch of old WSS's in digital format with mine, though I prefer hardcopy for current issues.

I can assure you that interpretation is incorrect, and if the survey questions suggested that, it was entirely unintentional.
